Each week on “Ask the Doc,” our host Adrienne Houghton sits down with physicians from all over town and asks them the important questions about health. Today, joined by Abigail McKay of American Telephysicians, Adrienne had the honor to sit down with Dr. Sheikh Faheem, MD from NeuroX.
Dr. Faheem, Sheikh specializes in Neuro-Ophthalmology and interested in optic nerve disorders – in particular related to optic nerve inflammation and brain tumor – cranial nerve disorders, ocular stroke, ocular myasthenia, thyroid eye disease headaches and vision loss of unknown etiology. He is board certified in American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Dr. Faheem did his medical degree from King Edward Medical University, Lahore. He completed his Neurology residency from University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics and Neuro-Ophthalmology fellowship from Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami, Florida. He has teaching appointment with Carle Illinois College of Medicine, University of Illinois, Urbana as Assistant professor and is involved in academic activities with the University. Dr. Faheem is passionate about all pathologies related to Neuro-Ophthalmology. He is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi.
